We are seeking a Corporate Staff Accountant to join our growing finance team and support the financial infrastructure of a dynamic, multi-unit cannabis operation. This is a high-impact role that offers exposure to all all facets of our operations, including accounting and cross-functional decision-making within a fast-paced, regulated industry. 

ABOUT THE JOB
As our Corporate Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for managing daily accounting activities, maintaining accurate financial records, preparing budgets and forecasts, assisting with month-end closings, and collaborating with other departments to provide financial, data driven insights. WHAT YOU’LL DO
  • Maintain general ledger entries and ensure timely, accurate journal postings.
  • Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable, ensuring all invoices and payments are processed efficiently.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Reconcile bank statements and AP/AR ledgers; track payment schedules and outstanding balances.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis across business units.
  • Collaborate with department leads to develop financial models and support strategic planning.
  • Maintain strong relationships with vendors; review contracts and payment terms for compliance.
  • Ensure compliance with state cannabis regulations, 280E tax guidelines, GAAP and internal SOPs.
  • Support financial audits, tax filings, and internal reporting requirements.
  • Recommend process improvements to enhance financial accuracy and operational efficiency.
  • Clearly communicate financial insights to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
  • Recommend process improvements and help streamline accounting procedures.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Experience & Knowledge
  • 2–4 years of experience in accounting, preferably in cannabis, manufacturing, or a regulated industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CPA-track preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and compliance frameworks.
  • Familiarity with cannabis-specific financial regulations, including METRC and 280E.
  • Proficient in Excel and accounting systems (QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar).
