Are you passionate about plant science and eager to grow within Michigan’s fast-paced cannabis industry? Join our Flint-based cultivation team as a Propagation Technician, where your precision and care will set the foundation for healthy, high-yield cannabis crops.

This role is perfect for candidates with prior propagation or horticultural experience, particularly within regulated, commercial environments. Working under the direction of the Propagation Lead and Head Grower, you’ll be responsible for managing the earliest stages of the cannabis life cycle — from cutting and rooting clones to maintaining ideal environmental conditions — all while upholding strict compliance and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform all cloning and early-stage plant care activities in accordance with established SOPs and state regulations.
Monitor environmental factors in propagation zones (humidity, temperature, lighting) to support optimal clone development.
Transplant clones into vegetative containers with accurate labeling, tagging, and METRC tracking.
Maintain daily logs including clone counts, waste reporting, and success rates.
Identify and report plant health issues, pest presence, or environmental concerns.
Ensure sanitation and sterility of all tools, trays, and work areas to prevent contamination.
Assist with inventory audits and reconcile plant counts during physical inspections.
Communicate effectively with the cultivation team to ensure a smooth workflow and task completion.

Qualifications:

1+ year of experience in plant propagation, nursery care, or commercial greenhouse cultivation (required).
1+ year of experience in the cannabis industry (required).
Familiarity with cloning techniques, rooting conditions, and propagation best practices.
Experience using METRC or other seed-to-sale tracking systems (preferred).
Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions and perform fine motor tasks repeatedly.
Comfortable working in a high-humidity, warm environment with frequent physical activity.
Basic computer proficiency and ability to accurately record data.
Must be at least 21 years of age and eligible to work in Michigan’s regulated cannabis industry.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand, bend, stretch, and kneel for extended periods.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Regular exposure to artificial lighting, wet surfaces, and high humidity conditions.
