WHERE PASSION MEETS CANNABIS CULTIVATION
Propagation Technicians play a vital role at the very beginning of the cannabis plant life cycle, where precision, consistency, and passion come together to bring healthy, thriving clones to life. As a key member of the cultivation team, you’ll be responsible for executing all propagation-related tasks — from clone cutting and care to early-stage plant maintenance — with full attention to detail and a commitment to quality.

Those on the Propagation Team must demonstrate prior experience in a regulated horticulture or nursery setting, ideally within commercial cannabis or high-volume greenhouse operations. This position requires strict adherence to SOPs, teamwork, and coordination with the Propagation Team Lead and Head Grower. You’ll also be responsible for METRC data entry, environmental monitoring, and ensuring every clone has what it needs to succeed from day one.

  • Proficiency in basic math for precise measurements and data tracking.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to consistently perform fine motor tasks.
  • Familiarity with irrigation systems and plant health monitoring is a plus.
  • Must work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to follow direction, adapt to evolving tasks, and stay focused on repetitive tasks.
  • Experience with compliance tracking systems such as METRC preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Execute all cloning and propagation tasks with precision and consistency, following SOPs.
  • Monitor environmental conditions in propagation areas (humidity, temperature, lighting).
  • Transplant rooted clones to veg containers while ensuring proper labeling and data tracking.
  • Identify and report any signs of disease, pest activity, or other health issues in young plants.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sterility in all propagation tools and workspaces.
  • Ensure accurate and timely METRC input and tag management in compliance with CRA rules.
  • Record daily data including clone counts, success rates, and waste logs.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to maintain workflow.
  • Support the Head Grower and Propagation Lead with additional tasks as needed.
  • Maintain propagation records including cloning success rates, waste logs, and room maps.
  • Assist in inventory audits and physical counts of propagation stock.
  • Use basic computer systems and software to input data and monitor clone cycles.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Prolonged periods of standing, bending, and repetitive fine motor tasks.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical labor in a humid, warm environment.
  • Frequent kneeling, stretching, and handling of delicate plant materials.
  • Exposure to high humidity, wet surfaces, and artificial grow lighting.
